It is indeed a great privilege to head the Diocese of Calcutta and as it is said, with such privilege comes great responsibility: I have always felt the same as the head of the Diocese of Calcutta. The year gone by was replete with a number of learning curves. One of the things that I have learnt is that if we are to prosper together and work on building God’s Kingdom here in the Diocese of Calcutta, trust is an essential component. I have been blessed and overwhelmed with the trust that every Pastorate, Institution, department and individual has placed in me. It is my firm belief that if at all we have achieved anything in these past years, it is simply because of this collective trust and and belief that you have placed in me. From the time I have set foot in the Diocese of Calcutta as its 21st Bishop on 11th June, 2019. I have been constantly stressing on the Key phrase “Know your Bishop” and this I have pursued through my personal interaction on a one-to-one basis with the people of the Diocese of Calcutta.
